Shelter Revitalization Project: “Building a Pawsitive Future”

Our capital campaign is raising funds for the essential infrastructure repairs/renovations, electrical and mechanical upgrades to the facility purchased in June 2021 to provide a safe haven for unwanted, homeless animals of the Lakeland area as well as a friendly space where people and animals can interact, and grow our outreach and education programs.

When donating to the “Building a Pawsitive Future” capital campaign, you can make a one time gift or spread your contribution over x number of years for a larger impact; there is a donor acknowlegement wall of honour and naming opportunities.

Donate online, in person, or by mailing a cheque or money order to the Lakeland Humane Society.

Projects have been splint into phases based on priority infrastructure needs.

Phase 4 –

Phase 3 – Raise the Roof (New Roof over Interior & Exterior Dog Kennels) – completed March 2024

Phase 2 – Raise the Roof (Cat Building Area) and Interior Room Repairs – completed in 2022

Phase 1 – Cat Amenities/Barrier Free Access – completed in 2022
