Lost & Found Pets
Did you find a pet in Cold Lake?
We strongly recommend contacting Animal Control to handle stray dogs or cats. If you are within the City of Cold Lake, you will be able to contact Bylaw Officers for help. Bylaw works to bring the animals to the Lakeland Humane Society so they may be claimed by their owners. If you are outside of the City of Cold Lake, please contact the appropriate area.
City of Cold Lake Bylaw Officers / Animal Control – 780-594-1345
You may choose to bring the stray pet directly to the Lakeland Humane Society. We may require proof of residence for any individual dropping off stray animals. We will ask to see photo identification that has a City of Cold Lake street address. If your license does not have an appropriate physical address (such as listing a PO Box), you can provide other documentation to support your residence–a utility bill, property tax bill, etc. with your full name and physical address.
