The Lakeland Humane Society is always happy to accept donations mailed to the shelter or made in person. You can easily donate with cash, cheque, or credit card. You can even donate online right now! Please make any cheques payable to Lakeland Humane Society. Charitable receipts will be mailed to donors for donations over $20.00.

Interac e-Transfer
An easy way to send money electronically, we can now accept e-Transfer donations. Please contact us for information on how to send an e-Transer donation.
Monthly Giving Program – PAW Plan (Pre-Authoirized Withdrawal)
You can give recurring monthly donations through CanadaHelps.org with your Credit Card. In doing this, you help lower administrative costs; directing more money for the care of our animals. It’s easy to set up and helps the Lakeland Humane Society receive regular donations throughout the year. Whether the donation is $5, $25, $100–everything adds up to better resources and care for animals in need.

Memorial Donations
When you make a gift in memory of a person, the Lakeland Humane Society will send a card to the family, letting them know that you have made a gift in memory.
To make a memorial gift, you may make a donation in person, mail in a donation by cheque or money order, donate online, or donate by credit card over the phone. We will request some personal information to make the donation in memory.
If you are mailing your donation or submitting it online, please be sure to include some additional information. We need to know the name of the person in whose memory you are making the gift, and the name and address of the person you would like us to notify.
For a pet caregiver, the loss of an animal friend can be one of life’s most difficult experiences. In memoriam gifts for beloved animals and devoted companions who give us their unconditional love is a nice way to honor the life and memory of a pet.
Employer / Employee Matching Gifts
The Lakeland Humane Society is so grateful to its donors. Employees requesting the LHS as their charity of choice can do a lot to help animals in need. Some employers will even match charitable donations made by their employees.
Ask your employer if they will match your charitable contributions.
Ask your employer for a matching gift form and return it with any monetary contributions you send to the Lakeland Humane Society.

Leave a Legacy – Bequests & Planned Giving
A Bequest in your will is a simple way to make a charitable gift to the Lakeland Humane Society that will help ensure the important work of saving lives is continued. If you are interested in making a charitable bequest, consult your lawyer or financial advisor to notify them of your wish to leave a gift to the Lakeland Humane Society. Your bequest may be in the form, such as a sum of money, an asset, or an investment.
You can make a gift by naming the Lakeland Humane Society as an owner or beneficiary of a new or existing Life Insurance policy.
Bottles & Cans
Donate your bottles and cans at Cold Lake Recycling Depot. Skip the line and deposit your empties into the outdoor bin marked “In Support of the Lakeland Humane Society.” All deposit proceeds from the bin are donated to the LHS. Accepting donations year-round for animals in need.
