Services We Provide
Things we do:
- We provide a safe haven for lost, injured, sick, orphaned, abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted companion animals in the Lakeland area*.
- Adoption services for the animals that have not been claimed or have been surrendered to us.
- Humane euthanasia for un-adoptable animals
- Humane Education Programs
- Spay/Neuter Program for all adopted dogs & cats
- Microchip Identification Program – all cats and dogs adopted are microchipped as a permanent form of identification
- Vaccination Program
- A place where community service hours can be completed.
- Utilization of many volunteers from all walks of life.
- Participate in work programs such as STEP.
- School and group tours
- Resource Centre for animal related information
- Direct many calls to the correct agencies.
Things we do not do:
The Lakeland Humane society does not handle Animal Control, Cruelty or the Enforcement of Animal Protection Laws. Please contact one of the agencies below for these matters.
